Abstract: The anamorphic fungi Mitteriella is a hyphomycete distributed worldwide. Present study presents the description and illustration of Mitteriella ziziphi noticed on floral parts of Zizyphus nummularia (Rhamnaceae) from plainer region of Himachal Pradesh, India. The taxonomic determination was based on morphological characteristics of the fungus. This black mildew has been previously recorded from Uttar Pradesh, Kerela and Andaman Islands in India. We present here a new record from Himachal Pradesh which is new addition to the mycoflora of state and as well as distribution extension in India.
