WHO ARE WE

Society for Tropical Plant Research (STPR) is a professional body of researchers, educationists and extension professionals to promote the different research activities in the tropical and sub-tropical region (Taxonomy, Diversity assessment, Phenology, Ecology & Environment, GIS/Remote Sensing, Socio Economic & Forestry, Plant Breeding, Physiology, Genetics, Bio-chemistry, Molecular aspects etc.) related with plants (Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms & Angiosperms), algae, lichenised (lichens) as well as nonlichenised fungi. The society is registered under Act No. 21, 1860E with the Registration No. K-48941.

OUR MISSION

Our main aim behind the construction of this society is to provide a good platform for the researchers of tropical countries to show their research activities related withplants (Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms & Angiosperms), algae, lichenised (lichens) as well as nonlichenised fungi.
